Which Ram to choose

So my friend gave me his motherboard with the cpu cooler already attached to the cpu and board. It didnt include ram, so im planning to buy ram but i dont know what speed i should go for because i dont know the cpu it has. I dont want to remove the cooler because i dont have much knowledge in dealing with that. The motherboard is a A68HM-E33 v2 from msi. I know im suppose to get ddr3 but i dont know what speed.
