Hybrid ssd with usb port possible?

DisplayPort for life
Go to solution Solved by DisplayPort for life,

So I was thinking on what sata ssd to get for my laptop, when i thought:

"Does any manufacturer sell a sata ssd with a single usb c port on the ssd so you can backup your current c:/ drive to it thorugh the usb c, then plug the usb c cable out and slap the ssd in the laptop itself?"

It would be quite cool to be able to do that, even if it may seem stupid.

Thanks,

me

You can get a USB to SATA adapter (or USB to M.2, if your SSD is not 2.5" SATA based).

It would be quite wasteful for a manufacturer to include an item a vast majority of users wouldn't use it maybe use once. Especially when that item sells for somewhere between $5-$20.

Doubt anyone makes this since same thing can be done with a 2.5mm dock

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help
