I came across this random website that has a variety of tech things, ssd's, nzxt case, ps5 controllers, logitech mice, etc. What was interesting is they have a 3060ti, 3070, 3080, 5900x and 5800x all for MSRP. They all say pre-order delivery on Feb. 13. Is this a real site it seems too good to be true, but considering the situation I am very tempted.

Looks like a drop shipping website with items as place holders. I don't think you will receive any product you buy lol

I also saw that on Twitter so I decided to order one but it felt real sketchy so I canceled the order and I’m now waiting for a refund. I hope I get it, I checked out with PayPal and I’ve already filed a claim and the seller accepted it but I don’t know maybe he can still decide to cancel the refund? Or can he?

I ordered one too. I was scared it was sketchy too but then I emailed them and they responded with a store interface and a receipt too. But I'm still not sure.

I made a claim with PayPal. They said it won’t likely be resolved until next month which is frustrating. I have sent several emails to the seller, as well as contacted them on PayPal with no response. 
 

I did get another email after the cancellation email saying that it it now pending a payment from me. 
 

doesn’t look great.

Just commenting about the length of resolve. Within a month is actually fast when you compare it to how long it takes for banks to reverse credit card payments. Mine took 2.5 months. There are international banking laws and agreements to consider. Like if PayPal can't just demand money from a bank without investigation. If the funds have already been paid to sellers account. If it would be only within PayPal, then they have more control.

They have replied asking me why I canceled my order. Stating they can refund immediately if I cancel my PayPal dispute first. Which is not what PayPal is telling me to do.

 

I responded saying I would click the “resolved” button on PayPal only after I have received my refund.

All, this is a scam website. I also fell for it when a Twitter user @edifier51 (now suspended) responded to a PS5 accessories stock notification tweet and posted a link to their store.

 

I am also in the process of filing a claim with PayPal. Sadly, this is the only way to get your money back, as there is no chance the "store" will willingly issue a refund. My advice is to not engage in any further conversation over email with them (I only sent just the one email telling them to cancel my order, so I could submit the email as proof to my PayPal dispute).

 

I will be reporting any and all tweets that mention this fake store. I would further encourage you all to write a review based on your experience at TrustPilot (there are a couple of fake reviews on the site already).

wasn’t a good deal. Honestly was trying to secure one for someone else, saw a Twitter user post an Argo link, swapped apps came back, clicked the wrong tweet and just clicked PayPal. Purchased by the time I looked. 
 

 

The rush got the best of me. I secured my own PS5. And Series X seconds before they were unavailable.

 

 

That said, I’ve been refunded fully and reported the website.

i have paid them 750$ for securing a ASUS RTX 3080, and i found this thread and filed a claim on PayPal since 25th with no response from PAYPAL till now. i contacted the store for refund and cancel my order and they canceled it and claimed that it will take 21 days to issue a refund from PAYPAL.

 

my order is now CANCELED but nothing came on PayPal

 

i contacted my bank to halt the transaction and stopped my CC but they said they will investigate and probably i wont be getting them to stop the transaction

 

i hope with all the people filed claims to PAYPAL for all the orders, PayPal would take action but the chances are zero as the transactions is completed

 

did anyone get their money back or PAYPAL responded ? or would be any hope here or all gone???

There is nothing on PayPal's end that would make it take that long, it's just up to the seller and their systems. For PayPal to process a refund-request it only takes 1-2 days.

How long did the process take you? If you don't mind me asking, did the ''seller'' ever reply to you in the Paypal resolution centre? I'm currently going through the same process since last night and have cancelled my visa card incase they try to take money out again. I received very similar emails to others in this thread. 

These users have no problem replying in email but not officially in paypal which makes the situation all more suspect

Yep, I saw tweet and ordered it without thinking because I thought since they tweeted it, it must be legit.  After two minutes of googling the site I knew it was a scam and contacted paypal.  Someone contacted me from that site and asked me to cancel the dispute so they could refund me faster and I told them paypal told me not to do that or I would not be able to reopen the case.  They said I could reopen the case if they don't refund me which is a lie. Hopefully I get my refund back in a timely manner and all of you do too.
