Build recommendations and questions for a Ryzen 5 5600X build?

Budget (including currency): $2500

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: MS Flight Simulator 2020 and other current games.  Flight Simulator is the major upgrade driver .

Other details: Currently running a 10 plus yr old I7-2600 with a EVGA GTX 1660 GPU.  Do not intend to overclock, run full stock.

New Build

Case: Fractal Design USB-C R6 (new but own).  Do I need more fans beyond the 3 140mm fans currently installed?

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X (new)

Memory:  Want 32MB (2X16) rock solid stable, no overclock, no need for RGB Need recommendations, have looked at the QVL but there are a gazillion different mem sticks

GPU: will run current GTX1660 until can buy either Nvidia 3070 or next card down in the product stack from a Radeon 6800XT at a reasonable price ? I know that's no time soon.

Monitor: MSI Optix MAG273R (own)

CPU Cooler: Scythe Mugen 5 or Fume 2 (no desire to watercool) OPEN to Suggestions

Motherboard:  MSI B-550 UNIFY (love the 4 M2 slots, USB-C on both rear and front, runs Zen3 CPU's out of the box)  OPEN to suggestions

Storage:  Currently have a SATA 1 TB WD hard drive and a SATA DVD drive that I will move over but plan to buy a 1 TB M2  4.0 NVME SSD for boot drive, and a 2 TB M2 3.0 NVME storage drive.  Also have a 1TB USB external HDD that's currently an automatic backup drive.

PSU: 850W full modular power supply, Corsair or Seasonic with at least 10 yr warranty. Will consider others

I know the MSI board is way overpriced but like the features, talk me out of it. Actually don't need the Wifi or bluetooth with my current internet setup.

Looking for stability and minimal noise when gaming.

Thanks in advance for any help and guidance.

maybe not the best case. bluetooth can be nice to have for wireless options, onboard or dongle to the small PCIe slot.

if you get 16 GB they might have double rank instead of single, which ryzen likes to use 4 of (so a set like you have there with a nice speed 3200 - 3600- 4000).

A big budget if you already have a lot, GPU either 3060ti or 3080, but ofc it depends on the price and if the market will be better after a while. while the 3070 can be a decent inbetween, not always great if it's overpriced unless its around the same as the 3060ti.

Get a 5900X, especially if you are going with the Unify motherboard. Otherwise the motherboard is truly wasted. You will also get better performance in flight simulator 2020.

You have a good budget and might as well get high performance drives.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

if you want to keep the 5600x rather than the other suggestions for a 5900x. Get this one, might be good with 5900x, not sure about how good the vrams are, I have this one its great with 2 m.2s. Amazon.com: MSI MPG B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI Gaming Motherboard (AMD AM4, DDR4, PCIe 4.0, SATA 6Gb/s, M.2, USB 3.2 Gen 2, AX Wi-Fi 6, HDMI/DP, ATX, AMD Ryzen 5000 Series processors): Computers & Accessories
