Corsair vs Seasonic vs GameMaster vs Superflower

Ive been thinking of getting a new 750-850 watt 80+ Gold PSU within a year, as my current 500 watt 80+ bronze HP PSU is around 4 years old (which I think is the lifespan of lite-on PSU’s) and I want to have some ideas of what to get before it dies. I want a higher wattage PSU as I want it to be future proofed for as long as it stays alive, which id like to be 5+ years, so reliability and longevity are the biggest things im looking for on my PSU. 

 

I dont have a specific budget, but id rather not have to spend $200+ including shipping on a PSU below 1000 watts.

I have a Corsair RM 850x and I personally like it. It's very quiet, and hasn't ever given me problems.

Don't buy a PSU based on the brand-name on the sticker. All of the brands you mentioned can be found on terrible and phenomenal units and everything in-between. Buy one based on the quality of the unit, and your power needs based on your build.

 

So, what are the specs of your system, now? And what upgrades would like this new power supply to work with?

That tier list doesnt seem to rate on how good a product is, but on what system it is meant for. Is there a tier list that rates PSU’s by their reliability, longevity, or things like that?
 

My current specs are 2x8 GB RAM, Ryzen 7 3700x CPU, and a Gtx 1060 3gb. Im planning on getting a 3060ti as soon as I see one within $50 of MSRP, which im expecting to happen in early to late march.

This is not an accurate statement. The tier list rates PSU based on the quality of the internal components and the quality of the output power. For a full methodology, see the spreadsheet that is linked near the top of the first post. The "Recommended For..." is a shorthand reference for noobs.

 

With a 3700X and a 3060Ti, you should be looking at Tier A PSU's with 550W+
