Ethernet testers not working

Quick check: the cable testers have (good) batteries in them?

They can't have the other end plugged into a switch, both ends need to be plugged into the tester.

yea you can't have a switch on one end, the tester needs to be plugged into both sides.

 

Or you can plug plug the cable into the switch and use that as a tester, if it connects at gig then all the cables are fine.
