Should i consider getting a new router if i get a wifi 6 card?

This is like asking if I should get a new CPU if I got a new gpu.

We have no way of answering if we don't know what you have right now.

What's your current router? What  WiFi card are you getting? What's the budget?

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

Do you currently do anything requiring wifi 6 transfer speed or signal distance?

Are the things you currently doing require you to move around the space while doing them or is hardline an option?

What wireless system do you currently use? AC, N, G?

The best gaming PC is the PC you like to game on, how you like to game on it

Will you benefit from some minor increase in speed or do you already (over wifi) get roughly the speed you're paying for with your current router? If so then it won't really gain you anything other than to waste money right now. If you have several WiFi 6 capable clients then I'd say sure but beyond that you're not going to see any real benefit with just a single AX client on the network so spending money into a decent AX router isn't worth it.

USB ones are often not so great, that card will do you fine.

you might not use the wifi 6 features? but it could be handy in the future and if that price fits you for that card.

but they might not always have the best bluetooth? check reviews and remember to update drivers.
