Best Telepromter

Hi all, 

 

Does anyone know what Teleprompter LMG uses? I'm looking for a good one. I think that I want to stay away from an iPad teleprompter with something more professional. Preferably remote controlled (obviously like how Linus is always messing with his pocked to advance his teleprompter). 

 

For reference the Tripod I use is the Benro BV10 if that is important.

Honestly a tablet + remote is like one of the best solutions on a budget. That or a generic laptop.

They use a telepromter by Listec, with some sort of tablet attached:

(Timestamp set at 7:17 and the teleprompter is also visible in the thumbnail)

 

I say some sort of tablet and not iPad, because I'm pretty sure they used to use an iPad, but not anymore.

I think I found it!!! I think this is the remote LMG uses to control their teleprompter!

As for the prompter itself, minibois is right—LMG has been using a Listec teleprompter for nearly 10 years. I can't find any for sale anywhere on the internet, but there are a bunch of alternatives out there. LMG uses a tablet type teleprompter, which tends to be cheaper than the kind with a built-in screen
