Weird GTX 950 on sale on Craigslist

UsefulPineapple

Okay, so I was bored and started a Scrapyard Wars Binge (On Season 4 RN). Well, the binge inspired me to look up what’s for sale on Craig’s List in my area, and I found a GTX 950 that’s sealed for $0. I mean, it’s free sooooooE947BD63-41A1-4BA7-812F-FF585F6354BC.png.3636221d59856e210a87eaf430ed3494.pnglol)

I looked and apparently it’s brand new in box, never been open. So idk lol. I’m not really looking for a 950 and found it more interesting than anything else

I wish I had that near me.

It's better than my GTX 650 Ti Boost.
Can you send me a link?

Man, you talk about your 650 Ti like how people with Mazda RX-7s and RX-8s talk about how their car has a rotary engine.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

😞

Like multiple other people have already said, there is about a 0% chance the person is actually looking to give it away for free. People either forget to put a price (which I find unlikely), are going to ask a price that is ridiculous and would not get any responses if posted in the ad, or for a few other reasons.

I know nothing about cars so that makes no sense to me, but I can kinda get it.

And yes, it's not crap, like my no-video-output 9400 GT, but it's first-generation Kepler.
Not the best.

They almost certainly left a price out to get more clicks/interest. Very common tactic on Craigslist, Kijiji, etc. People also do this if they know their actual price is so absurd they don't feel confident in putting it on the listing, lol.

Once I get a better card I'll probably sell them off.
Unless I'm super impressed with their SLI performance.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Interesting, I’ll have to check it out. I’ve always wondered how something like Scrapyard wars might work in places like Asia or Europe.
