A small Youtube Chinese channel is showing off i9-11900k benchmark results

 

My thoughts

At first I was confused about Intel selling a worse product at a higher price, then the real news dawned on me. Look how the CPUs are held high without them being dropped. Witness the LTT beanie being utterly outclassed by her headwear. Intel has truly arrived at the point at which the specifications of their product have become utterly meaningless backdrop to online fashion shows.

I'm holding out that the 11900k is more efficient then the 10900k, I don't need 10 cores but if they can make an 8 core chip with higher clocks/IPC and less power draw I'm all for it.
What I found odd is the massive difference in temps and lower FPS?image.thumb.png.6f2b30daa9588db996face94d6b08b16.png

 

Seems very weird, I'm not expecting huge generational improvements (this is Intel we're talking about :P) but I wouldn't expect it to be worse. It doesn't make any sense that the newer chip would run 20+ degrees warmer while performing worse... not to mention they are at the same clock so If Intel did improve the IPC like they said surely it should be noticeably faster...

Intel Rocket Lake Core i9-11900K is set to have a TDP/PL1 of 125 W and a PL2 turbo power limit of 250 W, with a turbo time of 56 seconds.

 

250w understatement for 5.3ghz and 4.8ghz all core clocks. XD

Even the best data ive seen about rocket lake has a negligible lead over a 5800x, there's no point of waiting, buy zen 3 when they are in stock.
