Problems with 144Hz mode on Samsung monitor.

I have a Samsung C24FG7x monitor. When I set it 144hz mode on the monitors menu it works fine. But as soon as I shut down my PC for the night and the following day I turn my PC this happens. But after a while as the monitor warms up it finally go back to normal. Or if I set the monitor to 120hz. For the past year I have just let it stay on 120hz mode. I have replaced the Display port cable with a new one and still doing the same thing. Is it my monitor on its way out or is it my graphic card ( GTX 1080 founders)?
