What's similar to the 3080

Hi, I'm trying to get the 3080 gpu, but it's out of stock everywhere and I doubt I'll be able to get one for a while. Is there any graphics card that is basically the same thing? Or alike in most ways. Thanks

Might be more like 2024 when bitcoin mining rewards half again. Hopefully it will be hard enough that GPUs are no longer profitable. Right now theres a mining rig with 78 3080s that makes over 100k per year, so imagine how many smaller mining rigs managed to snag 4-10 cards, it's not surprising how hard these cards are to find. Then you also now have scalpers in the mix looking to make a profit through using supply vs demand to inflate resale value of products.

It didn't take 3 years last time

In a way, it's a good thing. AMD (provided they get similar mining performance) could really use the cash influx into the GPU division to solidify them.

Honestly it makes me mad that retailers and manufacturers just let miners snatch all the cards with bots/scalpers. They really aren't doing anything to stop it for real because "free market".  I don't like BC in general because of how that currency is used in big scale in dark webs (for illegal stuff). Companies selling these cards to miners should at least check backgrounds of the buyers.

its said to be cancelled so you cant buy that too
