Because I'd say the easiest way to get money, is just get a job. Of course it's up to you what kind of job and if you feel like that's a good idea during this pandemic.

I think he means he doesn't have permission. If OP isn't allowed to get a job right now, I would either sell stuff or ask parents for chore money, maybe?
