Laptop reaches 80C when idle and fps in-game is really bad

plqr

My laptop has been reaching high temperatures when idle, I've install the latest bios version, updated all my drivers and windows and nothing has changed and I'm not much of a techy person, I thought I'd try to undervolt but I was really scared that I'd mess something up and my laptop would be unusable then and I've had this laptop for about 3 years now. And the framerates on this laptop are really bad. My laptop specs are -

ASUS TUF Gaming FX504GE

Windows Version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.685)

Intel Core i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz

16 GB Ram

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

BIOS Version 320

Have you checked for dust? The fans could have failed too.

No, the fans work properly, I can control the fan speed and can hear that they are working properly, although I haven't checked for dust

Um I searched ur laptop and apparently the only solution is to get a bottom cooler cause the heat pipes may or may not be damaged and the thermal paste might be dry. idk

this is a really high rated cooling pad check it out

Cooling pads do not work at all from my experience. The only benefit it's getting is just being slightly off the surface of the table so it gets a bit more air. Chances are you probably need to replace the thermal paste, and clean hair/dust from the fans.
