Samsung 860 EVO old boot drive to new storage drive?

So I have a Samsung 860 evo that I used previously as a boot drive. I want to safely wipe it and use it as storage how do I safely remove the files left over and reformat it?

using windows 10

Just use Disk Management to clear any partitions, make a new partition and format it.

You can Plug it in Via USB, go to disk management and try wiping it there (just make sure its the right one) Or theres quite a few drive utilities and such with varied ease of use

just use the software that samsung has on their site to securely wipe the drive, then you can format

So disk management let me delete the OS but not the recovery or healthy partition so I’ll have to do a wipe using samsung magician

You don't have to use any software. Diskpart is a command built into Windows that lets you do this.

So new issue

I made a new simplified volume after doing disk part samsung magician cannot find the new volume 

edit has to restart Samsung magician oops
