Why so much hate towards Corsair CX430??

E-Waster

I have a green label Corsair CX430 that has been powering my PC with a overclocked ryzen 7 and a RX 580 8g for over 3 years now, and has been on for almost 24/7. Never had any issues with this powersupply and I would defo buy Corsair again.

Why the hate towards them? they are only a budget offering afterall...

I use to have a yellow VS450 which everyone hated, got a CX450 now.

The green one is kinda old, you should get the grey one which is generally more acceptable.

Hate? I do not hate i base my opinions mostly on facts. the fact is that the cx 430 is pretty old and not that good overall. there are better offerings on that price point.

the cx 430 is group regulated and douple forward making it pretty bad overall psu.

I wouldn't use it personally, but no hate for it.

The power supplies I hate, usually found in old ass OEM builds where I can't read the writing on the sticker and seem to be rated at 230w or less. Those PSUs, I hate those ones.

You sure about that?  That PSU was discontinued about 7 years ago.
