Status update image/gif misdirect

Browser, version and OS:  Chrome os using chrome version 87.0.4280.109 (both)

 

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

Went to home scrolled down to create status. While making status the gif wouldn't load in so I clicked out and clicked on my profile to create a status and clicked to add the gif.

 

What happened?

The gif didn't add in my profile status and instead was added to the status on the home

 

What did you expect to happen?

I expected the gif to go to my profile status and not the one on home.

As you see instead of going to the profile status it went to the  home status

This is not an accident and I can repeat it multiple time

I'm not sure what you mean by "profile status" vs "home status", but I'm no longer taking bug reports for the legacy (current) status updates implementation because it will be overhauled very soon. If you're able to reproduce it on https://beta.linustechtips.com/, which has the new implementation, please can you report the bug on there?

On home you can scroll down to create a status or you click on your profile and click to update status. The first one is what I refer to as home status and the latter is a profile status

Edit: I can't recreate it on on the beta forum as when you click to create a status on home and then click out it "deletes" the existing status instead of leaving it there.
