Is GPU Bottleneck necessarily bad?

saw some YouTube videos claiming it to be smooth compared to cpu bottleneck, should i worry about gpu bottleneck?

No, something will always be the bottleneck. Most often the GPU.

 

It's just a matter of how badly it's holding back the rest of the system. If you have like a Ryzen 9 5950X and it's being bottlenecked by a GTX 750 Ti, yeah that's bad. But if it's an RTX 3080 then whatever, it's fine even if it's technically the GPU bottlenecking in most games.

that depends very much. 

 

say you want to play at 60fps and your gpu caps out at 80fps you'll be fine because you can just lock it to 60fps... 

 

But if you have like a 240hz monitor and think you want to play at 240fps but your gpu maxes out at 150fps your going to have a really bad time, *unless* your monitor has variable refresh rate, then it should be fine... 

 

 

So yeah it depends, and it's true cpu bottleneck is generally far worse.
