RAM DDR speed not increasing despite XMP enabled

exonly
Go to solution Solved by Sakkura,

Task manager isn't always accurate. Try checking the memory frequency with CPU-Z - it should be 1467 MHz (equivalent to 2933 MT/s).

Hello all! I’m having an issue with getting my RAM to the advertised 2993 MHz. I’ve enabled XMP in BIOS and also tried setting the DRAM frequency to 2993 manually, but with no success. I’ve just been opening up task manager to see the speed, which seems to always be the default of 2133, even after multiple reboots. Attaching the BIOS screen for reference (sorry about the quality!)

The speed somehow miraculously updated overnight after shutting down the PC, with no other changes. Thanks guys
