RTX 3060 ti for $550 USD?

dappy10

Hello all, I have an option of buying a ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Twin Edge off someone for $550 brand new in-box. Price is basically the same as purchasing that card with shipping and taxes (if available...) at newegg or best buy. Is this a really good and "worth it" opportunity or do you think RTX 3060 ti stock will recover soon?

Thanks

Still scalping but honestly at least its not like 2x the original price. The surge of the 30 series stocks still may not recover until late January or feb, but I could be wrong.

Right? He's totally giving me a great price since he upgraded to the RTX 3080 so he's in no need. I feel like I should take advantage of this and purchase it.

If you can't wait until late January at the earliest, then yeah, go for it. If you can wait, you should.

Makes me question why he got a 3060TI if he isn't really scalping for much, unless he was able to get a 3080 immediately after the 3060TI.

That was the case, he got the 3060 ti and right after was able to get a 3080.. Good for him 😅

I'm so undecisive :(. On a side note, has this ever happened during PC hardware releases where they were unable to produce a large stock of an item making it hard to get?

no, but i didnt expirince the i3,i5,i7 launch, tbh that might have been a shortage, or the core 2 quads shortage, but i did not expirience those launches

wouldn't call it a great price, it's ok to overpay if you enjoy the purchase though, honestly if i needed a card and some1 showed me a brand new 3060ti...bad advice bad advice 😅
