Hi guys,

What connecter do I need to connect this fan header to the data cables with my PSU?

Any help would be great.

Thanks!

you need to connect that to the port that are available on your motherboard, usually it sit right beside the CPU

Does not seem to be a standard 4-pin fan header to me...

Also it's male not female connector, as if 4-pin extension.

I can see the cable has another end. What is it? It could be PWM passtrough, like Arctic PST fans.

Edit: I just realized the notch is in a different location. Maybe an RGB connector? I have no experience with those.

i guess it was an rgb header ( i have no experience in RGB and that stuff)

Yeah, seems some RGB header adapter:

The RGB header to motherboard is a 4-pin on the image labelled "Wolida"

i ve had the same that comes from an RGB header and it was to connect an aditional RGB device, let's say an RGB strip.
Btw you dont connect your fans directly on a PSU, that way they will run at 100% speed all the time. Motherboard regulates the voltage and makes them run at proper speed.
That is how the connector looks. I think some of them have 2 pins but i m not sure

Please tell which fan model this is. The connector looks like its proprietary. In case you would need hub suitable to connecting it to anything.

The fan is a ximmai DF120 (included with my case which is an Aerocool Shard) I've attached another photo which shows both connectors, I haven't built a pc in a few years and these fan headers are different since last time!

One of the left looks like standard 4pin RGB male. Which means you could daisy-chain more fans. The right one, after searching another example, looks like its what some LED strips use for connection. Its not quite standard enough that you could connect it directly to any motherboard. But looks like you might be able to get adapters and connect it using them. If you can't find controller/hub for those fans (I can't find any product or store page).

Here's the "standard" RGB headers:

And then the adapter-ish:

Dude I managed to daisy chain them and get them to work, thanks so much you are a life saver!

So now I can daisy chain them together and get them working, I've realised that the only connector that I have, apart from the daisy chained ones, is a sata connector, is there a way I can connect that to the rgb fan header on my mobo? Is there an adapter for that?
