LG OLED Burn-in for PC

No most of the time it is just an empty mostly OFF black screen.

All the icons ETC are on the other screen.

I actually like it not emitting light :D When you walk up to your screen to just quickly check the emails or something or some work asshole calls or something. That 48inch screen lighting up in your face is blinding....

Why I asked was that many ppl recommend using solid RGB color backgrounds to try to "unstuck" pixels. So I was thinking maybe engaging them in a sequence might be good for keeping it uniform.

Also as I just drag browsers code and text onto it randomly when needed. So I just engage some pixels was thinking maybe having it scroll something is better.... (No I do not use fullscreen just rarely. Too big for fullscreen anyway but I do tend to drag more stuff to the right part of screen that is closer to me....)

Dont know sort of a brain fart idea I admit.

If u only ever use the screen to view windows (such a bits of code), especialy if u tend to always use a certain area of the screen, then yea ull want to display 'something' else thats randomized to keep things evenly used.

However if u watch movies on it .. or play games and such at other times, that should be enough to avoid any uneven wear.

I’ve had an LG CX 48 for a few months. This is actually my second one. The first one started out great, but within a week developed dead pixels. Started with one, a week after that it was 4. I replaced that with this new one, and now this one has a dead pixel...

However, I never had any burn-in issues, even with hundreds of hours of New World alpha (which may or may not have a lot of static UI elements. I can’t say. NDA 🙄), Baldur’s Gate 3, and Cities: Skylines.

Still, based on my personal experience, I’d stay away from this one. It’s a shame because it does look amazing.

Interesting sounds like very bad luck.

Never had any issues with mine. And I am up to date with all the biggest threads where owners discuss this model. First time I read about dead pixels.

It does have a fair amount of bugs in the firmware and VRR is broken. But picture quality is usually very good.

Link to the biggest gaming on the LG CX OLED thread if anybody is intrested.
