Raspberry Pi to IFTTT to Google Home

If you have read my last posts, you could guess why I need this. I basically want to flip a switch labeled 1 through 3, and depending on which switch was toggled, my Google Home Mini would say something. How can I do this easily in Python?


@mahyar has helped me the last few times, you don’t need to help if you don’t want to. If you do, I’ll greatly appreciate that!

you have to have a way to interact with that google home and send data to it

if it was useful give it a like :) btw if your into linux pay a visit here

Using IFTTT?

I keep finding how to control Raspberry Pi with Google Home but no control Google Home with Raspberry Pi

well it seems google home can not accept external input from pi

what do you what to do anyway?

Let’s say switch 1 is flipped, broadcast “Switch 1 is on” to my Google Home, and that’s it

you dont need google home for that

raspberry pi is a full computer that runs an os and has a sound driver

you can just use an python mp3 player code and connect a speaker to pi's headphone jack 

if it was useful give it a like :) btw if your into linux pay a visit here
