Id probalby go vps here, as its much more reliable

Just Apache, I am hosting it through my university's wired network connection on stable hardware. It probably won't be accessed by over 100 people at a time.

Does your university allow hosting? Most will block this.

Allows hosting, I negotiated with them. About 200mb/s would be sufficient, as I am only sharing audio files. (University has 1gb ethernet)

If you have old hardware you might aswell try it, it should work fine, just put linux and install apache and your good. What specs is that old pc?
