Help: Case fans with RGB lights I can control, even when PC is off?

NumLock21

So my case doesn't have a side panel window and my board does not have any RGB headers, but I'm looking for some 120mm ARGB, RGB, or DRGB fans that would let me control the lights on the fans, even when my PC is turned off. Reason for that is, so I can used the lights on the fans as interior lighting, when I'm working on the inside of my PC, instead of using the LED on my phone as a flash light. I'll mainly be using white LED, but having RGB will be nice. Does those type of fans exist?

Many thanks for your help

You are asking for something which powers with AC adapter or maybe USB adapter. So nothing out-of-the-box PC hardware. There are stuff, mainly rubbish, which would connect to USB and look nice-ish, with non-existent airflow. And then there are just LED strips you connect to wall outlet.

So if your mobo has always-on-USB, then you could go with USB connected LEDs.

I prefer using a flashlight myself.

And NOT the one on your phone.

My motherboard does have always on USB since my keyboard RGB light stays on, even when my PC is turned off. I did find some 120mm fans that came with a RGB controller, where the controller has a USB port on it, but that USB port on the controller isn't for powering the RGB. I did look at some USB powered RGB light strips, and yep they are mainly rubbish. I was hoping some well known brands like Phanteks, CM, Cosair, etc will make them that can be powered via USB.

Some decent length (not those 6ft ones) RGB light strips that's magnetic and can power via USB with a controller will be nice.

I used both, but it's the 21st century and RGB has been a thing for a while, so I thought why not use it to serve a purpose, instead of filling a case with rainbow colors.

Some premium cases have LED there. But I don't think any major accessory maker has anything for USB. So really, getting cheap laptop USB light, like this.

i think some may store the color when the pc is off but i dont no witch ones ill have to take a look at the ones i own, aquacomputer, corsair, nzxt, thermaltake.

i dont no what ports on the mb get power when its off you will have to do some testing i guess.

a lot of strips that you can buy for an name brad are short like 10leds and are expensive. pules most have priority connectors so you will have to buy cable adapters or make your own. also some leave gaps in between the strips sets.

imo you can buy wight led strips and wire it to a outlet with a switch on it as its a good idea to have all power cut when working on your pc. then agane im not afraid of soldering and drilling holes...

you can also buy rgb/argb strips that also have whight leds on them as well. you most likely will have to solder on your own connectors thow.
