I have just about had it with my computer underperforming. I’ve been dealing with it for over a year now. I upgraded my computer about a year and a half ago now. I upgraded everything but the case and HDD. My specs are a Ryzen 5 2600, Gtx 1070, Msi b350 mate, Corsair 3200 MHz 2x4 and a Corsair 650 watt 80 plus gold efficiency power supply. My computer just underperforms in games like battlefield 5, ghost recon wild lands, ghost recon breakpoint and cyber punk. On all of those games I can only play on medium settings and I can’t even get a solid 60 FPS. I don’t know a whole lot about PC’s all I know is I just want my pc to run properly after dumping so much money into it. It someone could PLEASE HELP ME I would be SOOOOOO great full!

What drive are your games on?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

With only 8GB of ram, do you ever see your usage getting too high?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

The GTX 1070 is an old card now. It was a good card back in the day (I had a Zotac 1070 mini) but these days it just does not cut the mustard so to speak. You basically have two options - turn down the settings so you get an average of 60 FPS or upgrade your GPU.

Also keep in mind Cvberpunk is an extremely demanding game, so you are not going to get 60 FPS with a 1070 unless you lower the settings and the resolution.

What do you think I should upgrade to with my specs?

Depends on your budget of course but you should see pretty good improvements with a 20 series card such as a 2070 Super or you could go for a 5700XT. Either of these will give you big improvements over a 1070.

Is it worth upgrading to a 2060 or at that point would a 2070 just be a better option?

2 more sticks of the ram u currently use, unless ur mobo only has 2 slots, for buying a card, i'd recommend a 3060ti atm, not the older turing cards, but again i recommend upgrading to 16gb ram first.
