What tool is that?

Turning off DLSS for some reason has my framerate plummet and I don't understand if its a driver issue or not

It's the msi afterburner on-screen display.

There was a new nvidia driver aimed for cyberpunk, few hours before release. Maybe you didn't install it yet. Otherwise, it's possible that your system can't handle ultra settings without DLSS. As you can see even 3080 gets only 40fps without dlss if everything is on ultra at 1440p. DLSS basically makes your system render at lower resolution and then it uses AI to upscale to higher resolution, that's my understanding of it at least.

It looks like the game doesn't use many cores. That is disappointing for a 8,10,12 core users but a blessing to a 4,6 core users.

The game defaulted to 4k ultra with ultra raytracing so I will have some work to do in the setup menus.

What has stop me cold is that I am getting key binding failures so I can't setup for left handed play.

Witcher 3 had the same sort of issues on launch to the point I had to use an XBox controller until it was patched so here we go again.

I've got into nightcity now and the perf on the 3080 isn't the greatest. its not using my CPU that much ~60% usage on a 3600 with GPU usage about 70... which is a shame, I've dropeed it down to high with DLSS on perf mode and ultra RT

DLSS quality with extra sharpening for me to make the game run pretty much solid 75 (vsync) at 1080p with 2060 Super. I'm happy. Don't see RT worth the fps sacrifice it would demand, doesn't look that much better.

Nice, seems very similar to 3080
