Can only the people of US and Canada participate in the rog rig reboot or is it just because of the pandemic? I couldn't find any announcement videos for the rig reboots of 2017 and 2018 so I just want to confirm that has the rig reboot always been for the North American people? If so then (last question) Will it get any bigger?

LTT is based in North America (Canada) so expect that contests are limited to that region. Some contests are international but you will need to check the terms and conditions. I would recommend checking out professional youtubers in your own country to see if they do any form of local giveaways that you may be eligible to enter.

Didn't they have some guy from Australia fly in last year? I think it already is international.

They did. I believe that is the only time that it was open to international entries.

The categories for ROG Rig Reboot 2019 were:

Quote

Winning Categories:

1. Best Overall Video (Make us laugh!)

2. Worst Computer (Show us why you deserve this rig!)

3. Best International Candidate (Gives us your best shot!)

ROG Rig Reboot 2018 was North America only.

Contest rules are really up to LTT and Asus to sort out. I'm sure they would have loved to do international this year if it was possible, but with the uncertainty around travel restrictions this year having the contest open internationally really wasn't going to be an option.

Adding to above, there were number of countries that were not part of international applicants. This is purely because of local import laws, raffle laws or promotion laws. Linus addressed this in WAN Show recently:

(timestamped)

From 2019 entry form:

Countries Excluded: Taiwan, South Korea, Portugal, Italy, Austria, China, Russia, Hong Kong, Greece, France, Japan, Spain, Czech Republic
