post your pics of your gpu's here whether you are putting on a water block, aftermarket cooler or just replacing thermal paste. 

 

 

I'll begin with my rather hot gt610. It was getting to 102-103c@600mhz when folding. Re-applied the thermal paste now running at a cool 92c@700mhz  B)  :wub:

Yeah... It clearly went to 100º.

do you want some proof? i can make it do over 100c quite easily?  :lol:

Yeah... It clearly went to 100º.

here you go then ladies. it wasn't very hard at all. i can't make it go to 103c and throttle too. it does take long  :rolleyes:

 as you can see i opened gpuz after going to 883mhz and lowering the fan speed, you can see the throttling on gpuz and afterburner, you can also see that its normally just above the 90c line when running at 700mhz which i am currently folding at. this is with the new thermal paste as well with the dried out stuff that was on before i was having to lower the clocks right down to stop it from throttling.gallery_16915_254_548382.jpg

More important, why a 610?

because i had no idea what i was doing when i built my first pc. it was better than a gtx 580 on paper.......... 2gb of vram 580<610............ i miss informed i was  :P

A 610.. That thing rivals the old Intel GMA chips. Anyway, after seeing the thread I thought it would be a good idea to delid one of my 8800GTS cards. (The one with an already modified heatsink and no missing capacitors) Well, it was going pretty good until I accidentally sliced into the chip itself. Doesn't work anymore. (No video, device manager gives a code 20 or 22 or something saying there's no driver installed and won't install any drivers. Also doesn't get warm at all.)

 

At least the other one still works.. I can be happy knowing that it was worth like $20 and it was still miles better than your 610. (The low end 320MB model.) It was already dead once but now it's dead for good. Unless I can tape the crack in the chip back together or something.
