Leaving a SSD with power but without Sata Cable

Joid15

So is it fine you just leave an SSD plugged into your computer but you unplug the Sata cable? Its a SSD that cam from an old laptop and when its plugged in it takes over my other HDD and I dont want my New desktop to be my old laptop anymore. But I also don't want to have to take the ssd out after putting it in.

I'll also probably be using the other SSD when ever I need something from it or when I want to put something in it

in your BIOS, change the boot priority so that your HDD is first and your correct windows install is booted to.

Then, format the SSD to cleanse all of the data off of it, and you can clone your HDD to the SSD for some speed improvements.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.
