Major frame drops in every single game and even browsers.

I lately experienced major frame drops in every single game i play. But only after playing apex legends?

Everytime I play Apex Legends the frame drops start, and the longer I play, the worse they get. After playing Apex Legends the framedrops start in every game and even in the browser I am using right now.

The drops themselves are REALLY BAD. Up to 3 seconds freezing frames every 20-30 seconds. After restarting the PC everything is fine again, but I don't want to restart my PC every 20 minutes.

Here are my specs:

GTX 1060 6GB

i7-8700 (non k)

600 Watt PSU

16 GB RAM

Do you have and SSD and does it hit 100% utilization in task manager?

Otherwise reinstall Graphics Card driver.

I have one 256GB SSD and one 1TB HDD, none go up to 100% while gaming

I will try reinstalling the graphics driver. Thanks!

Could be a HDD cache issue.

The OS is checking disk and the disk reports not ready. After a reboot it would be fine but over time it would get worse again.

This is the only thing I can think of that would affect a game and a browser.

 

The last HDDs I bought were all WD so I used "Data Lifeguard Diagnostic" to test.
