NZXT Kraken X73 for I7 10700k?

laushik

I was planning on getting the X63 for my 10700k, but the X73 is like $20 CAD more so should I go with that instead (Or are there better options around $200-250 CAD)? I do plan on overclocking my 10700k. Thanks

If you plan on NOT running Cam software 24/7 then your pump and fans will never change speeds and will stay on the default profile (silent 2000 RPM Pump, not 2700Rpm)

NZXT products want you in the NZXT software ecosystem.. without the software, hardware goes slower.

If it ever crashes, or bugs out,.. you wont get the DIALED in performance you setup...

So if you exit software as a preference, as a mindset rule, try another brand.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

So is there no way to load a fan/pump profile into the AIO? Kinda like how you can load a DPI profile into a mouse and it will stay like that without any software?

Been asking NZXT for months and they always skirt it the answer on Social media.

Ive never had a time where I unload the software and keep my values... never once in the full year ive been messing with overclocks.

Benching... the software takes some scored points so I WANT to close it.. but can't with a reduced pump speed my MAXPeak Temp is much higher on lowest pumpspeed it makes.. vs cam open, better temps with less scores.

if gaming, your fine probably, with benching, its ass.

But because no reviewer says you NEED SOFTWARE TO RUN MAX, I am and will when I see a NZXT post.

Because this isnt an issue for normies (Gaming or Daily loads) it isn't talked about much.

But NZXT products do have cons.
