So I'm looking to buy a budget computer (Around 900$ Canadian) this Christmas. I don't plan on doing any over-clocking, but I'd still like to have decent ventilation. I don't care much for any fancy bells and whistles like RGB, aside from I'd like a transparent side panel, for both aesthetics and maintenance. I've already found DIYPC's Zondda, how-ever after watching the review from Gamer's Nexus, it seems like it's a horrible idea.

Does anybody have any recommendations? Looking for around 100$ Canadian, but cheaper is better.

Also, having easy cable management isn't a must but it'd be very nice.

Specifics of the parts (If it matters):

  • B450 mATX board (AM4),
  • 1660 Super GPU,
  • Stock CPU cooler (Ryzen 3 3100),
  • SeaSonic ATX PSU (550 Watt 80+ gold),
  • No hard drive, 1 TB Crucial MX500 SATA SSD.

I've heard that be quiet! cases have good acoustics but bad thermals, as I'm not overclocking, that shouldn't matter though, right?

pure base 500 has ok thermals but the pure base 500dx has a full mesh front panel so thermals arent a probelm

thermals with your parts in the pure base 500 wont be a problem( plus the pure base 500 is really cheap)

PB 500 in Canada is around 170$, which is beyond my price range, maybe it's cheaper where you're from, but here it's just out of reach for me (I'm on a strict budget)

How does that case do in terms of space and ease of managing cables? It seems like a pretty great deal.

Any Help is appricated! Please correct me if I´m wrong!

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

I specifically chose the SeaSonic 550 Watt 80+ gold as I want the Semi Modularity and the extra efficiency. Also, even the 550 Watt is a little overkill for the build, it only needs about 450 watts, so I'd rather not blow a bunch more on the 650 Watt Corsair. As for the cases, quite a few of them have reviews saying that they're made of low-quality material, or are hard to build in. I get that these problems are obviously going to come with a budget case, but are they really worth it, or should I spend a tiny bit more on a nicer case?

I'm using Phanteks P300A and bought deepcool CF 3 pack fans to maximize it's thermal performance. Looking back, i should just bought the P400A.

One thing to remember when using mesh front panel, you'll need to regularly clean your PC (like every 2 weeks) because there's so much dust from the intake.

Try NR400P and MB311L from cooler master.

The MB311L looks promising. Would you recommend me adding a fan in the rear for improved airflow, or is it not really needed?

If you're only using ryzen stock cooler, i think adding one cheap fan for exhaust will be good for performance.

I feel like if I've got 2 ARGB fans in the front, I'm sort of forced to get an argb one for the back so it fits in. Are there ANY good argb fans that aren't too expensive, or should I just bite the aesthetic bullet and buy a non-lit one. Either way, what fan would you reccomend?

If you want to, you can go full aesthetics and use coolermaster sickleflow or masterfan ARGB to match it's front panel. It's good enough to cool your parts.

For cheap black fans, any will do.
