Go to solution Solved by EMM-JAY,

Update: I contacted Amazon and they sent me a replacement and now everything is fine! It even was a 1 day delivery!

Hey all,

I am new to PC building and recently I bought Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3600. I enabled XMP in my motherboard's BIOS, but I am a bit confused on the RAM speed. In task manager, it says that I am running the RAM at 3600 Mhz, however, on CUP-Z it says that DRAM Frequency is 1600 MHz which is 3200 Mhz if you multiply it by 2.

Is that normal? Am I missing something? Should I RMA my kit?

DDR = Double Data Rate

1600 is accurate

Tbh I don't trust task manager

Maybe check XMP in bios?

Profile 1 or 2?

I have a Gigabyte motherboard and only with Profile 1. It is enabled. I even tried manually setting the RAM at 3600.

CPUZ confirms 1600Mhz?

I'm trying to figure out that uncore at 3800 It doesn't make sense to me and I can't reproduce anything near that high, running 3600mhz ram and 1700 Fclk results in 900 uncore, runing 1:1 3600 ram/1800 fclk it reads 1800....
