Suggestions on nvme config

MrChippings

First up, admins, feel free to move this topic if I missed a thread that has covered this before.

So, I'm looking for suggestions on which of my Nvme-drives I should use for system vs game library.

I'm currently rocking a gen 3 1tb 970 Evo plus with a ryzen 7 3800x, on a x570 board with a 3080, and I have just ordered a 1 tb gen 4 nvme from Gigabyte to supplement my limited storage. I'm also on the waiting list of a local retailer for a zen 3 5900x.

I use this system for gaming mostly and prioritize gaming performance.

Should I keep the 970 evo for system and the Gigabyte for games, or the other way around?

It really won't matter, basically all games will load t the same speed on those two drives. Gen 4 doesn't just make things load faster in almost all uses.

Id just dd the gen 4 drives as a additional games drives so you don't have to reinstall the os.
