Change thermal paste/pads on Laptop

SNeel

Been looking to improve the preformance on my laptops CPU because of the thermal throttling.

When I opened my laptop to have a look I noticed that the factory used something that looks like some kind of paste on the other components, do anyone know what type of prodoct is it? Can I replace it with normal thermal paste or pads? Or is there another product that could be better?

Thankful for any advice!

(Sorry for the bad res on the picture)

That picture is so bad I can't tell if it's French toast or porridge.

Hand, n. A singular instrument worn at the end of the human arm and commonly thrust into somebody’s pocket.

Yep,It's difficult to see anything,

Even old analogue would have a much better quality since unlike digital - analogue is scalable.

As long as you have the original film you can use modern technology to produce high res images out of it,for example (picture taken in the 1860s - Meiji restoration):

Hehe, I can take a new picture, since this is just a part of a picture I took for another reason... But to describe it, it looks like a thick copper coloured paste. Almost looks like chewing gum.
