Why is it 0.8ghz?

I was playing fortnite completely fine 85c cpu (its a laptop calm down) and then BOOM from 4.1ghz to 0.8-1ghz starts lagging and crashes Please help (it doesnt recover until a bit later goes up to 1.1- 1.4 ghz then ten minutes go by back to 4.1ghz)

Might have power saving on in energy options (win 10)?

Try switching to balanced or high performance
