I've never used typing software before in my life, yet I can type decently quickly. I just type a lot. Especially on this forum. I type a lot all day. Typing out replies in threads, talking to friends on Facebook or other messaging services. Get used to your keyboard. I couldn't touch type about a year or two ago. It actually wasn't until recently (about a month ago) that I realised that I had actually learnt to touch type myself, and I had been doing so for about a year ^_^ Just typing away...

I have never played this game but The Typing of the Dead: Overkill is suppose to help you learn typing. you can get it on steam if your interest. Looked pretty cool to me.

I contribute my typing skills from AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), those many years ago. My friends use to type circles around me, while I attempted to peck at the keyboard. It was an emotional motivator for me to learn how to type.

Even doing the shortcuts in AIM such as LOL or TTYL helped too, it gave me spacial understanding of the keyboard layout.

Pro Tip: Never look at the keyboard when you type.

Use the quote or multiquote, for faster responses \/ \/

Just write alot. In old days IRC and IM where good for it. I remember using some crude DOS software to train with 10 finger system. I never learned it. But it helped somewhat to get used to my current typing style. Oh, and MMOs are good too :P I learned with Runescape back in early 2000s.

damn that's fast lol, I only type around ~80 WPM

Eh, probably has a lot to do with how much I type. 8+ hours on a computer a day (even at school; it's fully digital.), then I go home and type all the time in IRC, on other various forums, and in games. Is what it is though, been into computers since I was 6.
