Hello, I just linked my account on this forum to my discord account, I used the typical Linus Tech Tips link to the discord server, which is https://discord.com/invite/ltt but once I clicked on it, it just refreshed for me and it doesn't allow me to join, I've tried multiple times and was unable to do so. If you are in the discord please add me so you can send me an invite.

Discord:

Racks#9999

Thanks.

Is your Discord account made recently, or is it 5 months or older?

It's less than 5 months old, yes.

they (the LTT Discord team) doesn't seem to list the exact requirements for someone to join that server, but one of the requirements I have heard over the last couple of months is needing the account to be older than 5 months.

some other requirements may include:

- needing to have 2FA on

- needing to link a phone number

- linking your forum account

- and that 5 months or older Discord account

these are just requirements I have sort of picked up over the last months and they have been verified as "close enough", as the Discord team doesn't seem to want to publish the exact requirements.

has to do with raid protection or something.

And there's good reason for that.
