Try hitting it with a hammer or put some isopropyl alcohol in-between the two, whichever is easier. A razer blade perhaps.

Twist at the corners, don't pull.  If it's that stuck, what did you use for TIM? Superglue?

its more common than you think, i ended up having to put my cpu cooler in a vice and use a chisel to get the cpu lifted one time.

bad idea to hit it with a hammer, its a PGA cpu, so the pins will easily get damaged either by the hammer, or when it flys off

OP, i reccomend using a cut out piece of a tin drink can, just be careful not to cut yourself, isopropyl alcohol helps too

youre lucky, it looks like none of your pins got damaged

Twist, if that doesn't work try to slowly pry it up with a screw driver or go between it with an old gift card.

Fuck i might broken the motherboard when I removed it with the cooler.. I added my new processor and it wont even boot to bios

I had lots of "pulling CPU out with the cooler" moment but none of them bricked/borked the mainboard.

Finally removed it using paint thinner and a very thin screw driver it took hours jesus

Did you accidentally put glue on it instead of thermal paste? A nudge/push from side should loosen the thermal paste grip.

Is it a new ryzen 5000? Maybe you need a bios update. Had the same problem with a B550
