I was on ebay the other day and I saw that acer was doin certified refurbished and I checked it out and it says that the products have a 2 year warranty how is this possible? I bought a brand new acer and it only has a one year warranty how can they give two year warranty on a refurbished laptop?

maybe it's a limited warranty?

like you get 2 year warranty on the case, but none of the internals.

Could you please check that I didn't see anything like that on the website

yeah, so?

It doesn't cost them anything, if the laptop breaks they'll just send you another refurb.

In Europe it's law to have warranty minimum of 2 years, except consumables like battery, toner cartriges etc

The seller can offer as long warranty as it wants, since they refurbished it, if there's problem you return the laptop to them, not to acer, and they'll either fix it or give you something else... in an ideal world there's also no warranty issues.

Maybe they have a large supply they are trying to sell. They know that a 2 year warranty is likely to draw in people. Also, there is the fact that in some cases depending on the product like, the warranty could be greater.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
