Low fps in warzone....

Hey yall I have a quick question!

Lately I have been experiencing low fps in warzone around 50-80ish while the multilayer runs at around 120-144 fps!

I wanted to ask if something is wrong with my rig as I think my cpu is the problem. Sadly I'm not such a tech savvy guy and don't know if that's the case.

Rtx 2060 Asus dual
I7 4790
Asrock B85M Dash/ol
16gb ddr3 ram
2tb hdd
1t ssd
Evga supernova g2 550w

I've tried alot such as removing useless programs, closing all background applications, checking temps (gpu maxes at 63 and doesn't go higher) etc....

Like I said I feel like it might be the cpu but why do the frames only go down in warzone and not mp

I really would love some help please.

(all settings are set to low ingame!)

Get a better CPU. It's there trying to hold up a GPU that won't even use 60% of its performance to match it. By the way, the map in warzone is a lot bigger than multiplayer so that won't help the CPU would it?

This is wrong, that CPU can easily push a 2060 fine.

You play 1080? Then you should get 100+.. But you might see some dips, because of the 4790. Have you tried:

cod-warzone-restart-shaders-installation

If yes. Try with DDU and reinstall nvidia driver.

If no luck. Reinstall game.

Hm that's interesting, I still think upgrading the CPU would be better in this case.

Did exactly what you said from ddu to reinstalling the game. I dunno what the problem is really as I don't think my rig is that bad. Yes the cpu is dated but it isn't the worst that's out there so I'm really really confused at this point.

I would try reinstalling windows and beeing off when doing so. Downloading the newest version from microsoft.com. Stay offline and when booting into windows the first time. Disable automatic driver installation. A driver will be installed automatically anyways, but not from windows update. After installing all drivers for GPU and chipset you can go online. You might also want to check CPU temps. if very high. CPU will be throttling.

The case is pretty clear: CPU bottleneck.

You'll need to upgrade it cannot keep up with your GPU is all it is really. :)

Oof, I see, I thought I'm in another thread anyhow, exact same thing except it was a GTX 1080 (that worked as expected lol)
