Posted November 7, 2020 Hi, I have been looking at ARGB fans, and I'm wondering how many fans can I plug into 1 ARGB header. The header on the mobo support a max of 3A. the image below belongs to the mf120 halo coolermaster fan and it got me all confused, why is there a fan current and an rgb current? which one should i be following, and how many max would i be able to connect onto 1 header Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options... Posted November 11, 2020 ARGB headers are 3A each. So theoretically 5 fans/strips each. But as seen from that spec sheet, your fans would be 0.8A each max. That would mean up to 3 safely, 3-5 if you are willing to take the risk. I'm not electrician, so I have no idea what happens if you overload rated current. Does it only mean some of the LEDs don't work, or would it damage things.
