Are my cats hurting my thermals?

Elspencicus

My 2 cats like to hang out on top of gaming rig while I'm using it. I have my exhaust on the top of my case and they are block the air flow somewhat while they are chilling up there. I'm just genuinely curious if it matters or not. Also let me know if anyone else has this "problem".

That's almost 100% blockage of the top exhaust, it's cute as hell but there's no way your thermals are the as good as a cat-free computer

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like you have the CPU AIO mounted up front as an intake with 2 fans and use 3 fans as exhaust.

I would definitely pay more attention to cleaning the top panel so you don't get cat hair stuck in the mesh or even inside the case, but it looks like the cat on top pushes you from a negative pressure config to a more balanced one. The top fans probably don't appreciate the extra load, but I don't think it should affect the temperatures too much.

(Note: We don't know what case you have and I can't see the front panel. If it is a closed panel and blocking a lot of the intake airflow, the cat will have a greater impact as you'd need more exhaust to pull heat from the GPU out.)

Well test with and without them there.
My pc’s aren’t effected much. Maybe 2-3 on the card. Don’t care much for temps that much to be a bother. They keep us all warm.
