Is this a Good deal for this GPU ??

Edwisn

A 51 year old Noob here seeking advice on a GPU Purchase for my daughters gaming pc...

I found this on our Local Craigslist.a Gigabyte GTX 1070 8gb for $250.00

If he can show me that it is a functioning GPU in his rig..

Is it a good deal and should i snag it?

Or should i purchase something new for my son like a GTX 1660 super? for around the same price..?

Thanks in advance for the Advice !

I paid 200 for my gtx 1070 around 2 yrs ago.

The used market has been off for sometime now.

What's your deadline to complete the build?

i bought gtx 1070 for 150$. that is pretty bad price. how much is rx 5600XT? that is little better than rtx 2060 in terms of performance.

for 250 you could get 5600XT or used 1080/rtx 2070 at this day.

1660 super you can find between 200 n 240new. It can trade blows with a 1070 but edges it out most of the time. If you want a sold jump up for around 300 you can find gtx 1080 or rtx 2060 super.

I'd wait for one week and see if you can get a better deal.

Or throw a cheapie in till after the holidays as the used market drops in price around that time. Kind number the bday happens right before all great deals happens

in Finland. we have great prices really. I only buy ghtx 1070's when they are under 150$. they usually are.

People just want quick money. if one sells 1070 for 200$ he need to wait a week or two to someone to buy it. for 150$ mayby a day or so.
