same price? I'd say GTX 1660ti: newer architecture, better a-sync compute support and faster memory.

When it comes to performance the 1070 has a slight advantage, and the 1660 Super is more powerful than the 1660 Ti.

The 1660 Super supports ray tracing in most RTX  supported games.

pretty sure it supports ray tracing with all rtx games but with a big hit to performance since it doesn't have RT cores

pretty sure 10 series cards also support it, at least the 1060 and above but with a mad performance hit

or maybe im just trippin

You're not trippin. All GTX 10-series cards from 1060 and up can do ray tracing but I wouldn't unless it's a 1080ti.

I think I would go for the 1660 super/ti unless you can get a 1070ti or dig up some extra cash for a RTX.
