window's 10 key code?

does window's 10 still require a key license? I normally get them on ebay and i've noticed that when once they had hundreds of people selling key codes they have mostly disappeared...I guess I'm not in the loop...does anyone know if something has changed?

Yes.

Nothing has changed.

You can still install Windows 10 with the free installer, but the Windows 10 TOS does require you to use a key to activate it.

yeah i use the media creation tool on my pc's that I sell....just seems off on ebay today....was wondering if ebay was cracking down or something

You can install and use it for free but it has a watermark and remind you to „ activate Windows „ 

so you can install it first and start worrying about getting a license later

That's a good idea, you preinstall windows and let the users activate by themself.

You don't need to input the reg key at install, just press skip.

If ebay cracking them, you still can find it elsewhere.

what I normally do is pay the 5 dollars and use my label maker to print out the keycode...i then stick it to the bottom of the laptop or inside the case somewhere.....if the customer doesn't care ...then no charge...
