Reminds me of this Thread yesterday..

Please have a suss at the Windows GAME Recording DVR functions and if they are enabled, disable them and retest games.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Almost any the most noticeable one is fortnite running full low setting locked to 120 fps in 1080p. When it drops it goes from my solid 120 to around 50

Thanks, I wanted to make sure it wasn't 4K or something. Do you have any RGB components? If so, try closing the utility. Also, if you have a mouse with an adjustable polling rate (basically any gaming mouse), lower the polling rate to 250hz. Often times they are set to 1000hz by default, which causes a lot of stutters.

I'll try to change my polling rate but for the rgb I have it controlled on board my mouse

Dam

that isn't really a solution anyways, success not guaranteed either...

I have reinstalled windows exactly 0 times since I installed it first about 2 years ago on my PC. Slowdowns not detected. On the contrary,it keeps getting faster since I disabled windows update services *completely*  😉
