My PC volume is pretty quiet while using headphones, especially compared to my phone (iPhone 8). I have like 4 different pairs of headphones, and a couple earphones. I tried all of them on my PC and they all sound much quieter than how they sound on my phone. I've tried basically everything I could, including windows reset and nothing helped, so i'm convinced it has to do something with my motherboard. So I was wondering would getting an external usb sound card adapter help? I don't have enough to buy an external sound card (I dont know what they're called exactly but they basically look like a GPU and are put in the GPU slot). Then I came across these usb sound cards and was wondering if they'd make any difference, heres the link for them;

GPU slot? Didn't know they still made AGP slots.

Sorry... not helpful, um, what are your volume settings in Windows? What are the headphones you have been trying?

Lol, im not sure what you mean by volume settings. I have it at 100% if thats what you're talking about. I tried, Hyperx Cloud stinger, SteelSeries arctis 3, Srhythm NC25, these walmart headsets i forgot the name, and my apple earbuds, as well as these sony earbuds

The AMPs included with onboard audio solutions aren't always the nicest (they're kind of crap if I'm honest). You would want to get an external DAC and AMP to run those headphones if you're having volume issues.

If it is a desktop are you plugging into the front of the pc or the back?

I've heard before of people getting better sound if they plug into the back ports on some desktops (something to do with the motherboard).

I think your talking about external DACs ?

Those little sound boxes you set next to your pc.

They plug into your pc and then you plug your headphones into them instead of the pc.

The video Reviews I've seen on them say they are very good.

I just checked the external dac and amp, and they are pretty expensive. I just wanted to know if there is a cheaper solution to this. Like the ones in the link I attached to my original post.
