Can you guys help me please

AlmondYum

Yesterday everything was just fine but This incident just happened this morning where I  logged into Valorant and I seen that my frames were capped to 30 on all aspects in game and when I’m in the menu, I don’t have any thing capped in game settings considering my laptop can handle this game pretty well. Before all this my fps was averaging 200 because that’s what I set the limit to on game settings.

here’s the laptop model number to better see the specs - 82B1000AUS

I have a Legion 5 Laptop

Ryzen 7 4800H

GTX 1660 ti (dedicated graphic card)

16 GB Memory and 256 SSD

i recently did updated my Graphcis Driver to the latest Studio driver for my GPU but I don’t believe that is what caused it because I updated it 3 days ago. So I would have noticed long before while I was playing but there was no issues

i felt like this might be a nvidia panel thing , soo I switched off that battery cap that is in the nvidia Settings which was Originally set to 30. This barley helped because when I started up Valorant it only was at 60 FPS

keep in mind again before all this it was actually at 200 FPS because that’s what I set it to on the game settings. If you know anything I can do please let me know.

Check your Nvidia control panel and check if Vsync is on half refresh rate or something and make sure it's turned off. If you're using Geforce experience its also possible that it upped your graphics settings after you updated the driver. Also make sure that you have Game Mode or whatever this game recording crap in windows 10 is called turned off. If all else fails, try reinstalling the driver and the game.
